When you update your hours in Checkle, your hours get pushed to 65+ platforms.

This is done in the 'Core Business Information' section on the 'Business Information' tab of Checkle.

Under the 'Open Status and Special Hours' section of Checkle, you can edit the open/close status of your business, add holiday hours, and add in subsets of hours for further clarification to your customers.

Open Status

Businesses can have 4 different statuses depending on what stage your business is in.

  • Opening soon
    • If you have a new business that is not yet open, you would choose this status and input the date that your business will be opening.
  • Open
    • This shows that your business is open for customers whatever hours listed in your 'Core Business Information'. This is where most businesses should leave their status unless under special circumstances.
  • Temporarily closed
    • Only use this when you are closing your business but plan on reopening the business in the near future. A good use case would be shutting down for renovations.
  • Closed
    • This is for businesses that have chosen to permanently close their business.

Special/Holiday Hours

Some of the major platforms allow for temporary changes to your hours for events like holidays, special events, or unforeseen circumstances like weather.

For example, you could mark yourself as closed on Thanksgiving day in Checkle and it would only mark you as closed on that specific date instead of marking yourself as closed on every Thursday after that.

How to add in special and holiday hours

- Navigate to the Business Info tab in your Checkle account.

- Find the section 'Open Status and Special Hours'

- Click on the 'Special / Holiday Hours' row

- Click 'Add Special Hours'

- Click 'Save' when you've put in the appropriate temporary hours

- Click the purple 'Sync Info' button at the top of this page.

Checkle will automatically sync the updated hours across all connected platforms that accept temporary hours.

These changes can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 72 hours to be reflected depending on the platform.

Most platforms do not accept day of changes. Best practice is to put in your temporary hours at least 2 business days before the edited hours.

More Hours

List out specific sections of your hours for your business to set expectations to your customers. A good example when this is used is if you are a restaurant that closes the kitchen for food service earlier than the bar for alcohol service.

Below are the categories you can display:

  • Kitchen
  • Takeout
  • Happy Hour
  • Brunch
  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
